Busy Ophthalmology group looking for a motivated, team- oriented technician.  Successful candidates will possess the following, perform accurate and timely preliminary record information and testing into eh ophthalmology areas.  Uses interpersonal skill & ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians and co-workers on a daily basis.  Initiates and maintains positive relationships with peers, must be capable of multitasking and able to prioritize and juggle responsibilities of a busy practice.  A flexible, willingness to work on rotation to accommodate those needs are a must.  Nextgen background a plus, experience a must!

Ophthalmic Technicians

Retina Consultants of Southern Colorado is seeking
experienced technicians for our Colorado Springs and
Pueblo offices.  This position will provide support in
providing direct care and ophthalmologic testing,
including diagnostics, for several physicians.  The
individual will obtain subjective medical information
and input data into EHR.  The tech also administers
certain eye medications under the supervision of the
physician as well as assisting with in-office treatments.

Ophthalmic Technician Full Time Needed (South Denver)

Hines-Sight, a two doctor, very busy Ophthalmology Practice in South Denver, is in need of one highly skilled, full time ophthalmic technician. The ideal candidate must be able to perform a full patient work-up, including history taking, refraction, retinoscopy, and applanation tonometry. Experience with the Optomap, the IOL Master, Humphrey Visual Fields, and Zeiss OCT preferred. It is also helpful to have experience with Lasik Exams and Surgery. Hines-Sight has been named the "Center Of Excellence for Dry Eyes" by TearScience, so interest in Chronic Dry Eye Disease is beneficial. Other duties include whatever is necessary for the efficient functioning of Hines-Sight. He/she must have excellent communication and computer skills, plus be a team player, organized, detail oriented, caring, and possess a positive, professional attitude. A minimum of two years ophthalmic experience required. Certification is not required but preferred. Excellent benefit package including paid time off, medical insurance, and 401K options. Full Time Orthoptist - Children's Hospital

South Campus Lvl 3 O/P Spec Ca . 40, eligible for benefits. Hours: Mon - Fri 8-4:30.
Works under the supervision of the pediatric ophthalmologists of the Eye Clinic. The Orthoptist will perform examinations of patients to assess general ophthalmic status with primary focus on visual function tests and ocular alignment measurements. Provide education of orthoptic techniques to residents and students. Assist with research projects and presentations to support the Eye Clinic.

Qualifications: Pediatric or subspecialty experience preferred.  (AOC) American Orthoptic Council, BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR, basic computer skills required. Excellent customer service and communication skills with hospital/clinic staff, children, parents and visitors. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize tasks in a fast paced setting. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to work independently and as a team member.

As a Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist you will assist a professional staff (Physicians, Fellows) in administering the healthcare and support needs of patients and families in an outpatient ophthalmic clinic setting and perform patient care activities as outlined in the Unlicensed Assistive Personnel and Ophthalmology Competency Guidelines.

Qualifications: 2-4 years clinical experience required. Pediatric or subspecialty experience preferred. High School Diploma or Equivalent. (JCAHPO) Joint Commission of Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology. BLS for Healthcare Providers / CPR.  Basic computer skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills with hospital/clinic staff, children, parents and visitors. Knowledge of medical terminology. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
