Eye Banking March/April 2000: Congenital Cataracts Jan/Feb 2000: Learning Disabilities Tech of the year – Grace Aos, COT Grace Aos, COT has been dedicated to the field of ophthalmology for over 25 years.  She started as a receptionist for a pediatric practice but her enthusiasm had her quickly moving to the back office where her talent was embraced.  Soon she could be found assisting in surgery.  As her experience broadened, she began procuring corneas for the Lions Eye Bank, something she continues to do in her spare time. Her knowledge of ophthalmology is unsurpassed.  Her compassion for her patients is exemplary.  Her friendship is cherished by her friends and co-workers.   Grace was a founding member of RMOP and has served as an officer in multiple capacities - most recently as president. She continues to promote the organization as a valuable commodity for technicians.  Her belief that all technicians should strive for certification is heard often and with a passion that shows her pride in our field.   The vote for Technician of the Year took place at the board of directors annual meeting on April 19. back to top
